Can I copy fields or screens in my App?

The GoCanvas App Builder is used to create the Apps your users will fill out and submit from their devices. If you need to create the same field or screen multiple times, just click the Copy icon to make an instant copy of the field or screen.

Copy a field

Hover over the field in your App and click the Copy icon.

Copy a screen

Hover over the screen in the App Outline and click the Copy icon.

Other options for replicating content

1. Loop a screen

   When you add a screen to an App in GoCanvas, you can loop the screen. This allows you to repeat a screen as many times as necessary. When you're done adding all of the items to the list you can advance through the rest of your App.
   
   
   
   

   Inspectors often need this since they apply the same criteria to all of the items they inspect. Instead of building 20 screens for the 20 items you inspect, build one screen and set it to loop. You can add your items to your list, and then capture the data you need for the inspection of that item.

2. Copy an entire App

   You can also copy an entire App. This is great if you need to create a slightly different version of your App. Learn how.

3. Create a Template 

   You can use a Template to create a new App from anytime you want. Maybe you have 4 sales regions and each one needs an App that is mostly identical but with some slight variations. You could build an App with all of the common functions and then create a template from that App. Then you could build the other Apps off of the template. Learn how.
