How to add a link to a website in your App

The GoCanvas App Builder is used to create the Apps your users will fill out and submit from their devices. In the App Builder you can add a field that will link your user to a website.

Add a Web Link Field

Adding a link to your App for your user is easy. All you have to do is add a Web Link field to your app. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. Click the Edit icon to launch the App Builder or click Create New App.
2. Drag a Web Link field from the palette into your app.
3. Set the Default URL to the site you want the mobile user to be able to launch. 
4. Update the Button Label to show the user what the link is.
   
   

Once finished, Publish to device to see it in action.

A Web Link Field is defaulted to be a button. You can switch it to show a link without a button. Just click the Style drop down in the Field Settings and change the style setting to Link. For examples of both see the photos below.
