How to format a field for currency

You may want a field in your mobile App to be formatted in currency. This will ensure that the proper currency symbols appear on the output PDF report as well. You can accomplish this in GoCanvas by using a Number field.

Setting up the field

In the App Builder, navigate to the Fields column and click on the Number field to add it to your app.

Next, click on the Number field you just added and access the Field Settings menu. Once in the Field Settings menu, click on the "Style" drop-down and select "Currency".

Now when your user uses that field on their App it will appear like the field in the following picture.

Note: The type of currency that displays will depend on your device and where you're located. For example, if my region is set to France on my iOS device, the currency field will show the euro sign.
