How to use barcode scanning with Reference Data

With our barcode feature, you can easily upload reference data in a CSV that contains items' barcode numbers and descriptions for quick and easy population of fields in your GoCanvas app.

Follow these steps to tie barcode scanning to Reference Data:

1. Create your reference data.
   
   
   
   
2. Upload your Reference Data as a .CSV file to your account. Learn how to do this and use reference data here.
3. Launch the App Builder and add a Barcode field to your app. You can learn how to do this here.
4. Map the reference data to fields in your app as you normally would.
5. Save and Publish to device and you're ready to go!
