Publishing a GoCanvas mobile application is a very important step in the GoCanvas process. Until an App is published a user will not be able download the App to their mobile device. It is important to realize that every time you make a change to an App, those changes will have to be published before the change will be seen on a mobile device.
Publishing an App
There are several ways to publish an App.
One way is to visit the Apps page. Scroll to the App you'd like to publish, then click on the Quick Links icon (the three dots at the end of the row) and select Publish. The Publish link will only appear if a version of the App exists that has yet to be published for download by a mobile device. Once you click the Publish button the Publish Options screen will display allowing you to select which user groups and users you wish to give access to the app.
You can also click on the name of the App you'd like to publish, which will take you to the App Settings page. From there, you can click on Publish App in the Current Status area:
Finally, when you are inside the App Builder, you can click in the upper right corner using the Publish to device button:
Assigning a published App to users
Once an App has been published, you can select which users will have access to the published App. You will typically be prompted to do this after choosing to publish, but if you aren't, you can use the Quick Link icon and choosing Assign, which will bring you to the list of users for your account.
