The typical reason a user wouldn’t be seeing an App on their device or in their account would be because that App hasn’t been assigned to them. There are a couple of ways to remedy this if you’re an account admin (or department admin if you have departments enabled).
Assigning users from the App builder
You can assign users to an App when you’re in the App Builder after updating or making changes to the App.
- Click Publish to Device in the upper right-hand corner of the App Builder.
- Select which users or groups you want to assign the App to, and determine whether you want to send a notification to the user.
- Publish.
Assigning users from the Apps page
You can also assign users to an App from the Apps page.
- Navigate to the Apps page.
- Click on the Quick Links icon (the three dots at the end of the row) next to the App you want to assign.
- Select Assign.
- Select which users or groups you want to assign the App to, and determine whether you want to send a notification to the user.
- Save.
Assigning users from the user’s profile
If you have a user who needs to be assigned to multiple Apps, you may want to make those assignments from that user’s profile.
- Navigate to Account>Users.
- Click on the user’s name you want to assign Apps to.
- Click on the App Assignment button.
- Scroll to the Assign App(s) region. You can select individual Apps, Apps within folders, or all Apps using the checkbox next to the Assign Apps(s) label (click the checkbox again to deselect all).
- Determine if you want to send the user notifications about their App assignments.
- Save.
Assigning an App to a user in a group
If you’re using group functionality to keep your users and Apps organize, you may need to add the App to the entire group.
- Navigate to Account>Groups.
- Click on the name of the group you want to assign Apps to.
- Click the Manage Apps button.
- Select the Apps you want to assign to that group.
- Determine if you want to send the user notifications about their App assignments.
- Save.
