How to make your GPS field hidden on mobile

You may need to record location data on a mobile device without requiring your users to see the field. You can do this by making an adjustment to the field in the App Builder. 

Configuring hidden GPS

1. Open the App Builder for the App you want to edit. 
2. Place a GPS field onto a screen. 
3. Under the field type dropdown, click the checkbox next to Hidden.

   

4. Save and publish your App.

The hidden GPS field will respect any specifications set in the field settings, including accuracy and timeout. This field will not be required, in case of a timeout when the location will not be captured.
